Hello friends after long time I am writing another article about dual boot (windows os and zorin os). Well this article will also help you to dual boot (window os & ubuntu,lubuntu,kubuntu,linux mint, kali,backbox, and other os).
Here are the steps:-
1)This is prerequisite , determine the space of hard disk. Suppose if your system have 500GB hard disk or more.
2)Now in my case I have 500GB hard disk space, of which I will assign (300 GB to windows and remaining to Zorin Os.
3)Insert the Windows 10 installation disk or Window 10 bootable usb drive.The following screen will appear,
4)After this choose the installation type. (Here I want to go for clean installation, hence I will go for second option , custom type).
5)Then you will be asked to enter Window 10 license key.And the following screen will ask you to choose the choose the destination drive for your window os.
6) Now delete all partition and create single partition.(Here I will create partition of size 300GB). And will leave remaining space unpartitioned for Zorin os.
7) Now continue Installation on selected drive.In case of any doubt reffer:-

8) After Window 10 installation. Insert Zorin os installation disk or usb drive and restart the system.
9) Choose "Live session" then you can choose "Install Zorin OS" icon on the desktop.

11) Choose the installation language
12) You can now choose whether to connect to the internet or not.
13) Next screenshot will provide you with necessary information.
14) Choose the installation type. Go for the last option.
15) Next screen will show you device on which window is installed and free space.
16) Click on free space, when it is highlighted. Click on (+) to create directory as follows:-
a) swap area
b) boot area
c) main (/) directory or area for the file system
17) Now select drive for the boot loader installation. ( Here my file syem will be on dev7 hence I have choosen dev7 as boot loader installation destination).And click on 'install now' to continue installation.
18) Now select the timezone.
19) Select the keyboard layout.
20) Now set you username and password.Note:- Do not forget your password.
21) With following screen filesystem will be copied.
22) When everything is done you will see the following screenshot.
23) Now you can restart system or continue using the "Live session".
Note:- Before starting the system, take out the installation dvd disk or usb drive, which may ever you have used.
24) Restart your system you will see the following screen.
25) Note:- If you do not get this screen then do not worry. Follow the step as show bellow
A) Insert the zorin installation disk again and choose try
"Live USB/DVD session".
B) Install the Boot-Repair tool by pressing ctrl+T to open terminal and type following command,
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install boot-repair
$ boot-repair
C) Click on recommended repair and it will direct you to necessary steps. Once completed successfully you will see the above screen.
